Leading Birmingham designer and manufacturer of Dreamland Beds is now delivering its luxury beds in the first of its fleet of trucks carrying its new corporate design, completed by Birmingham Chamber Group member, Hardy Signs.
The project on the 10m vehicle began with a complete refurbishment of the exterior and cab, including its paintwork, transforming it from a dusky pink/red into a sophisticated black-livered unit with full corporate identity including the cornet company logo in bright gold.
Established West Midlands manufacturer, William Night are renown for embracing the latest manufacturing technology, combined with traditional skills and craftsmanship to create a ‘refined sleeping experience’. This is achieved across their range by marrying together luxury independent pocket springing with contemporary moisture dispersing fabrics and pressure relieving memory foam to ‘redefine the luxury bed market’.
The Hardy Signs team, led by General Manager, Tom Hardy created 70 sq m of digitally printed special vinyl wrap that was applied in their workshops at Hardy Place to the vehicle. Multiple prints were applied to the sides and opening rear door of the body, transforming the panels and carrying large-scale graphics that make the vehicle instantly recognisable; and equally are unmissable. The rear doors feature the company’s sports recovery range of beds with a large image of a tennis player. These beds offer ‘sensational soft touch deep quilted fabric’ with five independent massage units and are designed for all sports enthusiasts providing stress relief and encouraging relaxation to promote faster recovery from injury.
“The scale of this vehicle wrap made it a challenging project”, added Tom Hardy. “Our expansion into Unit 2 at Hardy Place enabled us to complete the wrap away from the elements and any foul weather which would have prevented the wrap being completed outside. “Our large format OYZ printer was perfect for this job enabling the special wrap vinyl to be printed in a single pass, using UV durable inks. The printed sections were individually applied to the truck by our vehicle wrap team”.
“Hardy Signs are to be congratulated on their transformation of our delivery truck. They said that we wouldn’t recognise our vehicle when we collected it; they were spot-on”.
