Hardy Signs are proud to be working with Burton and South Derbyshire College (BSDC) to create a real buzz at their Burton Town Centre Campus.
Earlier this year, the company installed a large format sign on the College’s north elevation. More recently, Hardy Signs has fitted a second external sign on the south elevation, which is installed at a height of 25m.
Alan Gunter, Workshop Manager at Hardy Signs, commented: “Any installation of signs at height is always challenging. Besides the installation, I must ensure the safety of our team members and the public, especially on a busy college site. With support from the construction site office and the commitment of our experienced fitting team, we are pleased to complete another professional installation for BSDC.”
Burton and South Derbyshire College is committed to providing the best facilities to equip its students with the skills required for the world of work. Students are taught academic, creative and technical subjects in a whole new way and are learning to be the professionals of tomorrow.
Hardy Signs are thrilled to be continuing their collaboration with BSDC’s creative department, supporting tutors and learners with industrial training and expertise related to the graphics and display industry. The company are also advising the College on the establishment of a cutting edge, industry level digital output facility which will prepare creative and design learners for entry into the sector.
Nik Hardy, Managing Director of Hardy Signs said: “The investment that the College is making in enhancing its graphics and creative curriculum is a giant leap forward to fill the skills gap, especially in creative industries. We’re delighted to be working with BSDC and to share our expertise to develop the next generation of designers and sign makers.”
Chris Beech, Head of Creative Industries at Burton and South Derbyshire College added: “We are excited to be working with Hardy Signs to give our students an insight into the creative and digital industries with an innovative print facility.”
In addition, Hardy Digital, a dedicated department of Hardy Signs, has been working with schools and colleges across the region to install digital display solutions. These dynamic digital screens help reconnect schools with students and teachers alike.
