Burton and South Derbyshire College’s Construction Academy in Swadlincote is now proudly displaying a large new sign on their purpose built facility on William Nadin Way.
Nationwide sign manufacturers, Hardy Signs Limited, who’s HQ is based on Wetmore Road in the town, were called in to deliver the project and give more identity to the 38,000sqft modern building.
The South facing end to the building has provided the ideal location for a full colour printed PVC banner in excess of 32 metres in length and 2 metres deep – produced by Hardy Signs.
“With an area this size, the sign and the installation required careful planning” explained Nik Hardy, Managing Director. “The PVC banner has been produced using a ‘mesh’ product which allows any high winds to simply pass through without stress on the material and so reducing the risk of damage”.
The experienced fitting team from Hardy Signs operated an articulated boom lift for the task in order to efficiently work across the large third floor fascia of the building.
“We’re extremely pleased with the finished signage at the Academy” concluded Nik Hardy. “The project demonstrates our ability to produce large scale signage and install with complete satisfaction for the customer”.
