Hardy Signs ‘Make Brands Work’ For Leading UK Print Firm

Earlier this year the team at Hardy Signs was approached by leading UK print company, Darley Limited, based in Burton on Trent.
Darley is one of the UK’s most famous names in specialised label print and the largest producer of beer bottle labels in the country. They are the UK’s leading Wet Glue labels supplier to the brewing, food, water and soft drinks market.
With a rich history in the town, dating back to 1827, Darley’s mantra is ‘making brands work’ and they pride themselves as being the ‘name behind the big names’ such as Carling, Budweiser, Guinness, Heineken and Heinz
With headquarters in Wellington Road, the company are well recognised, not only locally and national but also on a Worldwide, exporting over 35% of turnover in 2017

“Our brand and corporate image is very important in the industry we operate” explained Stewart Hughes, Managing Director.
“Our two companies have a long-established relationship and we were delighted to be approached regarding the new signage scheme for their premises” added Nik Hardy, Managing Director of Hardy Signs.

“The Hardy Signs design studio worked closely with Stewart to offer a full complement of external and internal signage with the addition of a custom digital display to welcome visitors in the reception area”.

With brand identity at the heart of the project, Hardy Signs offered large, three-dimensional, fabricated logos for the exterior of the building in the distinguishable blue and white company colours. In addition, several signs were positioned around the site to offer direction and information to staff and visitors alike. As you enter the building the focal point is a further three-dimensional logo in high gloss, mounted in the foyer.

Hardy Signs then installed a 46” display with a customised content management system for the company with full training and technical support throughout the process.
“We’re delighted with the digital display” added Stewart. “In addition to company information and messages we can now offer our visitors live information such as weather and social media feeds alongside live TV coverage – all in a Darley branded framework”.

“This particular project demonstrates the ‘complete package’ offered by Hardy Signs” concluded Nik. “Our services are not limited to sign manufacturing – we take the client brief, create a scheme and design specification, then manufacture and ultimately install the signage. We then offer ongoing support and maintenance for both our static and digital applications”.
